So…laundry is expensive too.
2 quid for wash, 1 for drying. Do you know how far that could get me at the Student Union?! 2 pints, that’s how much. Cheers or clean, that is the question.
While embarking on my first load, I was sure to pack the washer to the brim. Once it was drying time I was greeted by a cute blond girl with a ladybug laundry basket and 30 minutes of free drying time in one machine, 15 in the other. Apparently the dryers are “super powerful” so her clothes were done and the machines were mine! Needless to say I felt like I struck gold (quite literally, actually: I got to hold onto my gold pound coin).
I hesitated in the face of resetting it to “Whites and Colors” as she had it and went with a safe “Perm Press” instead; I love a pound, but I also love my clothes. Unfortunately, bad move; I ended up with damp heaps of clothing, and I skipped on buying a drying rack at Argos. Well, at least it’s a dry, breezy day outside! Now I’m stuck clothes sitting until my next class at 6, but at least I’ll have an extra pound in pocket.
